Disaster preparedness Classes for Seniors – Buffalo, MO

Due to a grant from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging is hosting disaster preparedness classes in the next few months for people ages 60 and above. The classes will be on January 30 at the Senior Center in Buffalo from 10:30 to 11:30am, and then on February 13 at the Senior Center in Ava from 9:30am to 10:30am. The classes will educate seniors on how to make a plan ahead of time to prepare for a disaster, how to build a disaster kit and how to stay informed of potential disasters in your community. People who sign up for the classes will be entered into a drawing to receive a free disaster kit. For more information, contact SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging in Springfield at 417-862-0762.
