I grew up in Missouri as a pastor’s kid, and serving the Lord and the church was all I knew. At the age of 21, I had my first baby and soon after became a busy mom of four. My life was consumed with serving the church, my family, and others. But a few years ago when my life was turned upside down, I realized that all of those things were good, but they wouldn’t fulfill me—and they didn’t define my ultimate calling as a child of God. What He really wanted from me was ME! He wanted a slowed down, truly open and exposed me. He found me in my brokenness, picked me up, and taught me to walk again.

After months of long walks, He invited me to sit at His feet, to learn from Him, and to not get distracted by everything else around me. Life looks entirely different from this vantage point. My desire is to share my story of walking with God, the One who is close to the brokenhearted and wants to know the real and true you.
